J M Barrie (Author of Peter Pan) - Our Neighbour!
Since moving back to Dumfries, I was surprised to discover that the famous author of Peter Pan J.M. Barrie lived next door at number 6 Victoria Terrace during his years at Dumfries Academy. I was even further intrigued to discover that it was during his time here that the Peter Pan stories were vividly played out in J M Barrie’s young imagination whilst playing in a location that is now under threat of disappearing.

What Should Not Matter (Chapter Two)
Britta loved her work as a gynecologist, as it allowed her to feel needed by both men, women and couples; as to a certain extent it was her who allowed them to start their families. Her work was also something which allowed her to shut out the rest of the world, relieving her of all those fears of live that might cause her to stray off the path of what had been taught her. Britta was truly comfortable at work, specially when attending women who were expecting.
