The Macquarie Private Wealth employee, named by the Sydney Morning Herald as David Kiely, was looking at GQ images of Australian model Miranda Kerr. He was unaware a colleague was doing a live television interview about the Australian economy nearby. His desk was empty during similar television interviews today. The incident has become a huge hit on the internet, with over 200000 views and a 5-star rating on youtube. Macquarie Bank, known locally as the “millionaire’s factory’, said it was taking the matter seriously. “Macquarie has strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today’s live cross on Seven News is being dealt with internally,” the bank said in a statement.
